Participants were undeterred by the cool and blustery conditions Sunday afternoon as they walked to show their support in the fight against multiple schlerosis. The annual MS Walk took place in the Battlefords with a strong turnout of participants gathered at the Territorial Place Co-op to kick things off from that location once again. Some participants wore colourful costumes for the event, though many were content just to wear the red T-shirts given out to help promote their fight against MS. On hand to kick off the festivities at 1pm were North Battleford mayor Ian Hamilton and Battleford town councillor Garth Walls. There were also plenty of activities just prior to the walk including a hamburger BBQ, face-painting and even massages done to help stamp out MS.
