JACKFISH SUPERSTORE TOAST

Thirteen firefighters from the Meota Fire Department, assisted by firefighters from Cochin and Aquadeo, fought a fire at the Jackfish General Store and Post Office April 22. When they arrived at 3 p.m. the fire had already engulfed the general store, and firefighters remained on the scene until 11 p.m. when the fire was contained. Because of their work, it was kept from spreading to houses or the Jackfish Church nearby. The fire is still under investigation.
