Sports Calendar Jan. 27 and beyond

January 27 Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League has Hafford at home to Radisson at 8 p.m. and Glaslyn at home to Maymont at 8:30 p.m. January 27 North Saskatchewan River Hockey League has three games on the schedule. St. Walburg goes to Edam and Spiritwood plays in Paradise Hill at 8:30 p.m. At 9 p.m. Maidstone hosts Wilkie. January 27-28 John Paul II Collegiate hosts its annual senior boys’ basketball tournament. Action begins Friday afternoon. January 27-29 Battlefords Skating Club will host the Sask. STARSkate championships at the North Battleford Civic Centre. January 27-29 Battlefords Curling Club will host the Senior Men’s Regional Qualifiers on the weekend. January 28 Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League has three games scheduled for 8 p.m. Hafford hosts Maymont, Perdue hosts Battleford and Radisson is at home against Cut Knife. January 28 North Saskatchewan River Hockey League has Spiritwood in Edam for an 8:30 p.m. game. January 30 Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League has Saulteaux at home to Glaslyn at 8 p.m. January 31 Battlefords AAA Sharks will host the Saskatoon Stars in Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League action. Game time is 6:30 p.m. at Battleford Arena. February 3 Battlefords North Stars host the Estevan Bruins in Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Civic Centre. February 4-5 Battle River Archers will host a 3D indoor shoot 2KM noth on Highway 4 then 1 mile east on Forest Hall Road. Cntact Larry at 445-0006 or Raquel at 445-1433 for more intormaiton. February 3-5 Denholm Curling Club will host a bonspiel with a maximum of 16 teams. Entry fee will be $100 per team. The deadline for entries is Jan. 31. Contact Linda at 445-6976 or Bob at 445-5531. Guaranteed $1,200 in prize money. February 5 Battlefords Curling Club will host the Business Person’s Bonspiel. Complimentary breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. with the curling to begin at 9 a.m. Contact Peter Pauls for information on registering a team or if you are interested in sponsoring prizes at 445-7045. February 5 Cheese Cake Classic will be hosted by the Elmhurst Ski Club with registration at 10 a.m. and an 11 a.m. start time. Located between Brightsand and Turtle Lakes.
