N.B. Water Doves in competition pool

The weather heated up on the weekend and the North Battleford Water Doves found a place to cool off, as they jumped into the water during the Sadie Caulder Knight Provincial Stream Synchronized Swimming competition.

Vicki Machniak placed second in the figures category and second in the solo category in the special Olympics division.

Courtney Roberts also had an impressive weekend placing second in solo and fifth in figures in the 10U division in the provincial stream.

Emma Kowalski also competed in the 10U figures competition and placed 11th. In the same category, Keifer Gidych was 22nd.

In the figures 13 to 15 division, Kylie Burnett was the top Water Dove placing 10th. Breah Weber was 16th, Jenna Parker was 17th and Jolie Bossaer was 22nd.

Water Doves coach Sheila Parker also competed in the masters division. She was first in her category and had the second best score of all four of the masters’ competitors, who were hoping to qualify for nationals.

The Water Doves team was third in the 10U team competition while the 13 to 15 team was also third.

This weekend the Masters Synchronized Swimming National Championship will take place in Regina.
