District 4-H council meets

4-H Notes

The spring meeting of the District No. 35 4-H Council was held March 15 in Neilburg.

Congratulations to the Maidstone Gully Multiple 4-H Club junior curling team. They represented District No. 35 at the regional competition in Biggar. They represented the Northwest region at provincials.

The Standard Hill Beef Club team was the district representative for the seniors in Biggar.

Congratulations to district public speakers who continued on to regionals in Pierceland. They were Cloverbud William Downey of the Manitou Lake Multiple Club, junior Lauryn Harmel of the Maidstone Gully Multiple 4-H Club, intermediate Tori Witlaw of the Durness Multiple Club and Kristen Argue of the Hillmond Beef club.

Doug Sroka was chosen to participate in the Prairieland Scholarship Program in Saskatoon. Doug placed second in the junior section.

We talked about some of the resolutions to be discussed at the annual provincial meeting. The meeting was held at the end of March in Saskatoon.

Council members decided to sell the volume 3 4-H cookbooks at Expo.

Everyone is invited to attend Expo June 3 and 4 at the Lloydminster Exhibition.
