Dog days of summer weather update

More interesting weather could be headed for the Northwest. The Weather Network reported Tuesday morning, severe thunderstorms are possible for this afternoon and evening over portions of Saskatchewan. This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds, which are more directed for Southern Saskatchewan.

There is a 60 per cent chance of showers or thunderstorms this afternoon and the wind becoming 30 km/h and then increasing to 50 gusting to 70 this afternoon.

The Battlefords, St. Walburg, Unity, Maidstone, Frenchman Butte, Mervin, Glaslyn, Fairholme, Medstead, Hillmond, Waseca, Edam, Vawn, Paynton, Meota, rabbit Lake, Whitkow, Marsden, Neilburg, Baldwinton, Sweet Grass Res., Delmas, Cut Knife, Speers, Richard, Lashburn, Maymont, Denholm, Fielding and Wilkie are among the communities under a watch.
