RCMP Major Crime Unit North continue to investigate the death of 32-year-old Kristen Faye Cantre. Cantre was located deceased after a house fire on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation on January 7, 2018.
Skye Noltcho, 19, of the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation was arrested on Jan. 18 in Saskatoon without incident and has been charged with:
1 count, manslaughter, section 236(b) of the Criminal Code
1 count, arson with disregard for human life, section 433(a) of the Criminal Code
Shandon Chief, 18, of the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation was arrested on Jan. 18 on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation without incident and has been charged with:
1 count, manslaughter, section 236(b) of the Criminal Code
1 count, arson with disregard for human life, section 433(a) of the Criminal Code
Both remain in custody. Noltcho will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Monday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. Chief will appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Monday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m.
