North Battleford RCMP responded to 97 calls for service from 6 a.m. December 19 to 6 a.m. Dec. 22. Police are seeking information into the following incidents:

Friday

• Complaint of theft of a cement mixer from a yard on 102nd Street occuring sometime over the last two days. The cement mixer is described as being very old and has “home repair” modifications on it.

• Complaint of damage to front windows of an address on 102nd Street. It appears that the damage is from a pellet gun being fired at the glass.

• Complaint of loud music in an apartment building on St. Laurent Drive. Members attended and warned the occupant.

Saturday

• Complaint of a male being assaulted outside a local licensed premise on Railway Avenue. This investigation is ongoing and led to several other calls for service at this premise.

• Complaint of a “bar brawl” at the same licensed premise as above, with 15-20 intoxicated people fighting, some patrons have been injured. Police attendance was required urgently. Members attended and the majority of the suspects had cleared out of the bar.

• Vehicle stop on 18th Avenue initiated by a member resulted in a male driver being arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over .08mg per cent.

• Complaint of assault at an address on 110th Street. Victim’s common-law assaulted her in front of their children, fleeing from address when police were called. The common-law returned and police arrested him for assault holding for court.

• Complaint of theft of vehicle from a gas station. Complainant advised that she had given a girl a ride and while they stopped at the gas station the girl took off with her car.  No description provided for the vehicle other than Saskatchewan license plate 138 JAS.

• Complaint of hit and run damage to a vehicle parked on 97th Street. The vehicle damaged is described as a grey GMC Sierra truck.

• Traffic stop conducted by members on the 16 Highway Bypass resulted in the arrest of 36 year old Delroy Thunderblanket of Sweetgrass First Nation who was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for violating his parole. He was held in custody and his return to Corrections pending.

• Complaint of theft from a truck parked on 109th Street overnight. Christmas presents were taken from the vehicle and the middle console was ripped out.

• Working in cooperation with a Community Safety Officer who initiated a traffic stop, a male was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over .08mg per cent.

• Complaint of theft of gas from a gas station on 100th Street. Vehicle described as a white pickup truck with Saskatchewan license plate 930 IKM.

Sunday

• While on patrol members located an assault in progress on 10th Avenue. The female suspect fought with police, assaulting one of the officers. The female was arrested and continued to resist arrest and damaged the police vehicle. The female has charges pending in relation to this incident.

Over the noted time period the RCMP responded to several complaints of people being intoxicated in public. Other investigations included three false alarms, two 911 hang up/nuisance calls, one Child Welfare Act, one Coroner’s Act, 10 disturb the peace/municipal bylaw, four impaired drivers, one missing person, two drug-related occurrences and nine traffic-related occurrences.
