Tuesday night shooting incident in North Battleford

Battlefords RCMP responded to 44 calls for service over the time period Tuesday 2017 April 4th  6:00 a.m. to Wednesday 2017 April 5th 6:00 a.m., including the following:
 
11:18 a.m. -        Police located a stolen vehicle on 100th St. in North Battleford with an adult male driver and an adult female passenger.  Search of the vehicle and occupants resulted in a firearm, ammunition, and a small amount of drugs being found and seized.  Both parties arrested and charged.  Investigation ongoing;
 
02:41 p.m. -       Report of a missing 16 year old female.  Investigation located youth safe in Saskatoon. Parents updated.
 
08:57 p.m. -       Report of a missing 13 year old male.  Youth located by police and returned to his residence.
 
09:09 p.m. -       Battlefords RCMP responded to a complaint of a shooting on 107th Street in North Battleford. Investigation revealed that the victim was walking down the street when he was approached by a white car with six occupants.   The occupants of the vehicle shot the 18 year old male victim in the foot as he attempted to flee.  The six people fled the scene in the car.  The injury sustained was not life threatening and the victim will make a full recovery.  It remains unclear what the motive was for this incident however it does not appear to be a random incident and the occupants of the vehicle were known to the victim.  Investigation is ongoing.
 
Police responded to 40 other calls for service including Provincial and Criminal Code Statutes.
