Youth fight in mall parking lot investigated

North Battleford RCMP responded to 20 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18 and 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19. Over that time period, RCMP made three arrests relating to alcohol offences.

North Battleford RCMP responded to 20 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18 and 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19.

Over that time period, RCMP made three arrests relating to alcohol offences. Other calls included two minor disturbances, three child welfare investigations, one false/nuisance 911 call, one bylaw investigation, two minor collisions and one mental health act investigation.

Police are seeking information into the following incidents:

Thursday

• Members called to hospital in response to a call of a man causing a disturbance. He was located still on scene, and at one point started throwing items around and was arrested. A 44-year-old man is facing charges of causing a disturbance and resisting arrest, and has since been released from custody and is set to appear in court Friday.

Friday

• Report of an assault involving several youth on Railway Avenue East at the Frontier Mall parking lot shortly after 2 a.m. reported by a person driving by.  Ambulance was dispatched to scene as a male was complaining of a headache, but is not believed to be seriously injured. Few other verified details at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
