August was another strong month of building permit numbers in North Battleford.
The report was presented to council’s Planning Committee meeting Monday. Overall, in August seven permits were issued for $8,796,500, up from 14 for $8,336,000 for the same month a year earlier.
The biggest permit value was seen with one permit in the new institutional category for $4,857,000. Of the others, there was one new garage permit for $20,000, six residential alterations for $32,800, four commercial alteration permits for $327,200, one new industrial permit for $1,050,000, one industrial alteration for $2,268,500 and three demolition orremoval permits for $241,000.
Numbers for all of 2015 are down a bit but nevertheless remain strong. Through August, there have been a total of 85 permits issued for $25,051,500 compared to 75 permits for $39,161,300 for the same period a year earlier.
