It appears the archives are moving towards become a totally volunteer-run operation. The city has confirmed that city archivist Tammy Donahue Buziak had resigned as of Oct. 31, 2018.
Operations at the archives have been maintained in the interim, however, with the volunteer committee members providing their time. The News-Optimist has learned Donahue Buziak is one of those volunteering their time.
At this point, the city is stating the future of archives operations have yet to be determined, as consultation with committee members still needs to occur. As for inquiries about using the archives for research or for contributions, those are to be directed to Debbie Wohlberg, Director of Legislative Services.
