North Battleford to host Sask Party debate in November

There will be six official Saskatchewan Party leadership debates held and North Battleford will be the site for one of them.

November 16 has been set as the date for the North Battleford debate. The venue is the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts and it runs from 7 to 9 p.m. that evening.

The others are Oct. 19 in Swift Current, Oct. 26 in Melfort, Nov. 4 in Saskatoon (at the party’s convention), Nov. 30 in Weyburn and Dec. 7 in Regina.  

The party announced the debate schedule in a news release Monday morning. 

All candidates who have been officially nominated at least one week in advance of a debate will be able to participate. As well, Saskatchewan Party members and credentialed media will be welcome to attend the debates. Further details are available on the party’s website.    

The Sask Party has also sent out a Tweet indicating that leadership candidates were welcome to organize additional debates with media or other third-party hosts.
