Class of 2015 at U of R includes 27 NW residents

Over the weekend, graduating students from the University of Regina celebrated during their convocation at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. The University of Regina’s president and vice-chancellor Dr. Vianne Timmons conferred the awards.

Over the weekend, graduating students from the University of Regina celebrated during their convocation at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina.

The University of Regina’s president and vice-chancellor Dr. Vianne Timmons conferred the awards.

Over 2,000 students graduated, which included the following residents of the Northwest.

From Battleford, Chantal Marie Gelinas earned a Bachelor of Social Work, Kyle Alexander Parkinson earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Zachary Matthew Startup earned a Bachelor of Education.

Brooke Marie Burletoff was the lone Blaine Lake representative, as she was conferred a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

From Glaslyn, Anthony Gordon Pocholko also earned a Bachelor in Education.

Glenbush’s Coleen Janice Bridget Kitching earned a Certificate in Local Government Authority.

The lone Hafford native, Kelsey Rae Wintonyk, was also awarded a Bachelor of Education.

Livelong’s Audrey Gail Eversen also received a Bachelor of Education, as well as Maidstone’s Sydney Ann Franks.

Two Neilburg residents graduated, with Magan Alexandra Boyle earning a Bachelor of Education and Rena Denise Ramsay achieving a certificate and advanced certificate in Local Government Authority.

North Battleford had seven graduates, including Catherine Jill Campbell who earned a Bachelor of Social Work, Andrea Dody Hogger who earned a Bachelor of Education, Natasha L. Hydukewich who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Amber Dawn Miller who earned a Bachelor of Social Work, Darlene Ann Moline who earned a Certificate in Local Government Authority, Shea Erin O’Bertos who earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours and Dellyn Deana Winterhalt who was conferred a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

From Scott, Celeste Marya Ulrich earned a Bachelor of Arts.

Sonningdale’s Sheila Dawn Farnell earned her Certificat en francais langue seconde.

Spiritwood’s Donna L. Goertzen earned a Certificate in Local Government Authority.

Four students from Unity graduated, three of them earning Bachelor of Education degrees. They were Alison Megan Ryan, Nicole Lisa Sopyc and Alyssa Penni Uzelman. Jason Davis Kerr earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.

Lastly, two Wilkie residents earned Bachelor in Education degrees, Sarah Jeanne Nielsen and Mitchell Edward Nielsen.
