The Battlefords News-Optimist has been serving the Battlefords for more than a century.

The News-Optimist is an award winning community newspaper dedicated to providing readers with comprehensive coverage of news, sports and events in the community.

The motto in the News-Optimist newsroom is "Everyone Has A Story." It is our mission to tell those stories, which in turn create a chronicle of Battlefords history as it unfolds each week.
