These harbingers of spring have been crouched under the snow just waiting for a chance to burst forth. These were spotted on the last weekend of April.
The Community Youth Choir, directed by Lisa Hornung, held its final concert of the season Sunday at Third Avenue United Church in North Battleford.
Cowboys, cowgirls and rocking rodeo stock put on a show for rodeo fans at the North Battleford Civic Centre last weekend as the Kinsmen hosted the annual indoor rodeo. The competitors rode, roped and wrestled while vying for prize money and bragging rights.
Several vendors were on hand at the Svoboda Dance Festival at the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts, selling items that had a Ukrainian theme to them. The various dolls, clothes, pictures and other items attracted interest from plenty of customers including even some of those who participated at the dance festival.
Spring sprung in a hurry on April 27 as melting snow led to water flooding over the Highway just west past Cut Knife gushing into the neighboring yard. Police and Highway crews were flagging the area and the highways hotline was warning motorists of numerous highways similar to this one in the province.
