    The Lions Club of the Battlefords have partnered with the Canadian Diabetes Association to hold free diabetes screening clinics. This screening is for residents who have not been diagnosed with Diabetes.

    Monday April 28th 2014 at St. Paul's Anglican Church Hall, 1302 99th St in North Battleford from 10:00am - 12:00 noon and 2:00 - 5:00pm

    April 29th 2014 at Lion's Hall, 162-22 St in Battleford from 10:00am - 12:00 noon and 2:00 - 5:00 pm

    The Battleford Senior citizens Organization has been in operation since 1976. Their building is located at 122-24 street West in Battleford.

    Each week there is something going on. Social activities include games of all sorts such as: Kaiser, Scrabble, Cribbage and Pool. There is also a singing group on Friday afternoon. Also a knitting/crochet group. Some of the projects are : lots of mitts for schools, newborn knitted hats for the hospital, cancer hats and many different items for Christmas sale.

    Meetings and Pot Luck Suppers are held monthly. Each month members entertain a bus load of residents from the Battleford District Care Centre.

    Many local organizations make use of our hall. The Horticultural Society uses it regular. Family anniversaries, birthdays, bridal showers are also held here, We try to be a very helpful organization in our town.
