Alphonse was a good man and lived a quiet, farming life. His main interests were his Religion, family and honesty. Listening to good music and reading history stories - and about pioneer life was relaxing evenings for him. Alphonse is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Olga ; loving children and grandchildren. Vigil Of Prayer was held Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 with Gaetanne Beaudoin, Presider and Mass of Christian Burial was held Wed, Oct. 2, 2013 with Father Nestor Gregoire, O.M.I., Celebrant; both Services from St. Joseph Calasanctius Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, SK. The Cross Bearer was Chloe Laidlaw and Reception of Body: Pall ~ Flowers ~ Crucifix: Immediate Family. Liturgy Of The Word was shared by 1st Reading ~ Maureen McCallen; Responsorial Psalm ~ The Choir; 2nd Reading ~ Anna Laidlaw; Gospel ~ Fr. Nestor Gregoire, O.M.I.: Prayers of The Faithful ~ Audrey Van Dijk. Liturgy Of The Eucharist: Gift Bearers ~ Grandchildren: Samantha, Amanda & Nathan Weiler. Gifts of Music by Pianist, Maureen Gerein; Faith Community Choir and Soloist, Robert MacKay ~ "Ave Marie". The Honourary Pallbearers were Camille P. Haegebaert, Gaston C. Card of Thanks The family of Olga Haegebaert would like to extend sincere thanks to all the health care and medical staff who assisted in treating and caring for Alphonse. We are grateful for all the kindness and support shown to us all throughout the duration of his cancer battle. We would like to thank everyone for their kind words of support in this difficult time with special thanks to those who sent flowers, cards, food and prepared meals. We would also like to extend sincere thanks to all those who gave prayers, Mass cards and charitable donations on Alphonse's behalf as well as Fr. Anthony Afangide and Fr. Gerard Legaspi for the spiritual blessings and comfort to Alphonse in his final days and Fr. Nestor Gregoire for celebrating Alphonse's life in his Funeral Mass. Dr. William Lipsett, words cannot express how much we appreciate the help and support you gave, and kindness you showed to us all.
