Arrangements were entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service 446-4200 Shared Memories After a long satisfying life farming with her husband Raymond (deceased) at Richard, Laveta has gone home to be with her Heavenly Father. Once again she will be at the side of her devoted partner of over 68 years. After moving to Richard with her parents she met Ray. She played in a band at Meeting Lake pavilion for a summer or so. Ray felt compelled to buy a Harley to attract her attention. They were soon smitten and then married in 1941. Musicality came natural through her talented parents. You could find her teaching Sunday school or leading the choir on Sundays in St. James United Church. Helping out at the school with concerts and festivals was routinely a way to learn and share this love and keep tabs on her son. She would give generously of her talents whenever an unmanned keyboard appeared. She always tried to make the music come from the heart. This outgoing athletic lady was always ready to get involved where she could. Dancing was a big part of their pleasure. The music continued in her own way until her hands gave out about a year ago. Her faith and principles stayed with her for ever. She was the first born and last surviving member of the Jacob and May (Wright) Klaassen family. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Lloyd and Charles Klaassen. She is survived by their only son Lloyd and wife Phyllis (Chudy); their children Raymond and wife Stefanie and their miracle twin girls, Mica and Reese of Chilliwack, BC; Galen and Natascha and darling grandson Max of Abbotsford, BC. Laveta's wish to you could read something like this: "Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen to me today that you and I together cannot handle." ____________________________________________________
