Waseca hosted a second annual Waseca Community Day Sept. 8.

The day included food, activities, entertainment, displays and demonstrations.

The children were entertained with face painting, balloon twisting, a strolling puppet show and a magic show. Amateur musicians provided other free entertainment.

Demonstrations included an RCMP rollover simulator, a buzz saw and a threshing machine.

Displays included fire services courtesy of Maidstone Waseca and District Fire Department, a petting zoo courtesy of Maidstone Gully 4-H Club as well as wildlife furs courtesy of Saskatchewan Trappers Association.

The festivities ended with beef on bun supper followed by popcorn and a movie.
