It has been a weird year, but much to be thankful for

Unity News

We are reminded that although 2020 has delivered more than everyone’s share of uncomfortable weirdness, there is much to be thankful for. We live in a free country. We will soon be exercising our democratic rights in both municipal and provincial elections free from bribery and election tampering. We have worked together to keep our community as healthy as possible in six months of the pandemic. We have healthy running water, plentiful food and some nice weather to enjoy. Be thankful.

If you are travelling this weekend, remember to keep your groups small and travel safely to and from your destination. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

There is still time to let your name stand, or nominate a worthy candidate for upcoming municipal elections. Please contact your RM office or town of Unity office for details.

Here’s hoping this finds you all safe, healthy and socially distanced. Until next week ...
