Cindy Reid began a temporary position at the Lakeland Library branch in Maymont April 1. Library Hours are Tuesday 1 to 6 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon. The Library is selling lunch at the upcoming trade and craft show in the Maymont Memorial Hall April 15. The Trade Show is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission $3.
The Ruddell community members have begun a spring clean up at the cemetery with the removal of the hedge. The future plans are to replace the hedge with a link fence for easier maintenance. Thank you to Cal Beierle for using his equipment to pull out the hedge.
Donations are being accepted until April 15 to help the Penner family at the following locations: Viterra Inland Terminal Brada, Viterra offices at Maymont, Radisson and post offices in Denholm, Richard and Speers.
A potluck supper will be held at the Ruddell Community Centre April 17. Everyone is welcome.
The Village of Maymont is holding a community planning meeting at the seniors' centre April 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
