There's a new church in town and a little different than most other churches.

"At the Battlefords Cowboy Church we are aboutfellowship and worshiping the Lord, but we do it in a more relaxed and casual manner," says local member Ray Cox.

"Don't be surprised when you come, to find a good cup of coffee and maybe a treat or two."

Cox says there is no dress code.

"Come as you will in hats, ball caps, jeans, dresses, boots or running shoes or whatever. All are welcome just as everyone is."

Cox is quick to point out the new worship group isn't just for cowboys and cowgirls

"Our door is open to all and would love to see you at our next gatherings," Cox says.

The church believes in involving all its music ministry of country/gospel provided by Ray Cox, Frank Ervin, and pastor, Rick Martin.

"We guarantee you will be singing along before you know it. We encourage it," says Cox.

The Cowboy Church got started when the director of the Cowboy Church Network of North America met a friend from Prince Albert. From there, and from one friend to another to another, the church has grown over the last year and have an enthusiastic following
