Couple this with B.C. fruit, jams and syrups, artisan vendors selling unique gifts, food service trucks and ice cream, your grocery shopping, evening meal and dessert are covered.

Territorial Drive Farmers Market runs Fridays 4 to 9 p.m. until Sept. 28 at Splish Splash Car Wash in North Battleford.

The market is the best spot in town to sit back, relax and listen to live music provided by talented local musicians every Friday night.

Located across from Walmart in a spot with ample parking and comfortable seating, this local market is creating an experience that’s sure to appeal to residents and tourists alike.

Variety of Vendors

From field to fork, local vendor Shiela Turuk sells vegetables, fresh baking, milled wholewheat flour and honey.

Oxbow Farms has fresh eggs, baking and vegetables, and takes orders for pasteurized meats and handmade pasta.

Celebrate-the-Greens.com operates a year round greenhouse outside of Wilkie. They focus on greens such as fresh chard, kale, collards and herbs, as well as a variety of tomatoes and peppers. Ready-to-serve salad packs are also provided.

Kathy’s Greenhouse owner Jason Andersen says he’s “proud to grow local for the local communities.” And this is what shoppers look for more and more. They want fresh produce grown on their own soil where producers sell directly to the public.

The Territorial Drive Farmers Market provides the opportunity for the public to talk directly to producers about exactly how the food they are about to eat has been produced.

The Prairy Fairy Mobile Food Service and Tee Cee’s Grillin Food Truck offer a variety of choices from hamburgers and chicken burgers to vegetarian choices and homemade relishes.

Aud’s Gluten Free Bakery sells a variety of delicious baked goods.

Get Nailed by BJ Salon run by vendor and artist Linda Scherman sells unique gift products such as dream catchers made from willow branches ranging from simple delicate designs to more ornate designs. She also sells handmade crochet clothing and woodworking products.

Inascent sells essential oil bombs, fragrance bombs and soaps arranged in small or large baskets.

Blackbird Bakery sells handmade granola bars.

Uncle Wiener’s Wholesale is a new business in town that sells everything from semi tires to outdoor furniture. They sell hundreds of items and give thorough explanations about their products.

This experience is more than just shopping locally. It’s a way to meet your neighbours, take a little time to slow down, relax and enjoy the entertainment. Local talented musicians provide four hours of music every Friday night and have already secured a loyal following.
