Students at North Battleford Comprehensive High School had a dress rehearsal April 26 in order to prepare for the Comp in Action's (CIA) Second Annual Talent Show, which will be held May 3.

This talent show will have 12 performances by students at NBCHS. There will be performances by Jarred Thomas, Dylan Sylvester, Michael Kahnapace, Cayla Ellis, Karrissa Gardipy, Kaileigh Hargreaves and Riley Campbell, Brittany Keller, Emma Young and Meg Scorgie, Grady Nash, Sarah Knutson and Sophie Pitman, Katanna Heilman, Colton Hutchinson and the Imperfect Improv and Kayla Wakelin and Jessica Laing. Students will be performing a variety of talents, from singing to an improv act to dance and more. The pieces will be critiqued by three teachers from the school: Adam Streisel, Lynn Thompson and Diana Nichol.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Battlefords and Area Sexual Assault Centre. The CIA will be charging $5 for adults and $3 for students; children five and under are free. Although the judges will be giving advice to the performers, the winner will be decided by whoever has the most tickets. Tickets will be sold for one dollar in order to raise more money for the charity. The CIA will also be selling treats at their bake sale like popcorn, candy apples and much more.

As Thursday nears, the students anxiously hope that their hard work will turn out a success.
