Take a train ride to visit model railway displays

The Wheatland Express Excursion Train has announced its first annual Railway Days Model Railway Expo & Tours in partnership with Prairie Railway Workshop and the Wheatland Express Safety Train.

The weekend will feature model railway displays by Prairie Rail Workshop, Rocky Ridge, the Martensville Model Railroad Club, and River Xing North, the Prince Albert Model Railroad Club. The Wheatland Express Excursion Train will run passengers between Cudworth and Wakaw to experience each town’s exhibits and activities throughout the day.

Food and drink will be available for purchase in both locations both days as a fundraising effort on behalf of local community groups.

Saturday, June 22:

10 a.m. - Displays open at both locations

11 a.m. - Train departs from Wakaw to Cudworth

2 p.m. - Train departs from Cudworth to Wakaw

Sunday, June 23:

9 a.m. to 1p.m. - Pancake breakfast at Wakaw Rec Centre

11 a.m. - Train departs from Wakaw to Cudworth

2 p.m. - Train departs from Cudworth to Wakaw

4 p.m. - Train departs from Wakaw to Cudworth
