The case against a Kindersley mother charged with killing her baby was adjourned again in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

Teenie Rose Steer, 28, who is charged with second-degree murder, had an appearance scheduled for June 16.

This is the sixth adjournment since Steer was arrested Feb. 25, 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced adjournments and delays in cases across the province.

According to RCMP, an autopsy done on Sept. 28, 2018, on an infant that went into cardiac arrest the day before, uncovered information that led them to say her death was suspicious.

The charges against Steer haven’t been proven in court.

Steer remains in custody at the Pine Grove Correctional Centre in Prince Albert, Sask.

The matter against Steer is scheduled to be brought back before the Saskatoon Provincial Court on June 25 for case management.
