A 24-year-old Asquith man was charged with child porn offences and voyeurism.

Elmir Drincic was arrested Nov. 25 after members of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit and Warman RCMP executed a search warrant at Drincic’s residence in Asquith. Police seized three cell phones and a laptop for further forensic analysis.

An investigation into Drincic was launched after the Saskatoon Police Service received information in July that a 24-year-old man was in possession of child pornography and intimate photos of a woman he took without her knowledge.

Drincic appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court Nov. 26 and was released on numerous conditions. He is scheduled to reappear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Dec. 9.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is made up of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. They investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
