The Battlefords RCMP, through the provincial media centre, have released the following information:

“Over the past three weeks Battlefords RCMP initiated a project to seek out persons wanted on outstanding criminal code warrants within the detachment area.

“The team dedicated to this project have arrested 44 subjects to date and executed 87 of the outstanding criminal code warrants.

“All persons arrested have either appeared before the courts or have been provided a future court date to appear at.

“This project team has also coordinated efforts with the RCMP Crime Reduction Team as well as neighbouring detachments to locate wanted persons.

“We are also working with Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers through submissions of most wanted persons onto their website to generate tips to locate those persons.

“Efforts to locate persons wanted in the Battlefords Detachment area will be continuing into the late fall.

“If you or someone you know has a location of persons who are avoiding meeting us please feel free to give us a call or call Crime Stoppers.

“If you have an outstanding warrant and would like to deal with it we encourage you to attend to Battlefords Detachment so we can assist you with a new court date.”
