Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 40 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 and 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14.

Thursday, Oct. 13

7:12 a.m. - Vehicle parked on the 2000 block of 99th Street in North Battleford reported to have been vandalized overnight. Driver's side window and back window damaged.

12:43 p.m. – 44-year-old woman arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 after reported shoplifting incident at a business on Carlton Trail in North Battleford.

12:54 p.m. – 54-year-old man arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 after a reported shoplifting incident at a business on 101st Street.

1:33 p.m. – 58-year-old man arrested and charged with causing a disturbance and failing to comply with his probation order after a report of intoxicated persons on the 1000 block of 101st Street in North Battleford.

6:03 p.m. - Report of an assault at a residence on 107th Street. Minor injuries reported and both parties known to each other. No arrests yet made. Matter remains under investigation.

8:28 p.m. - Grey GMC Envoy with Saskatchewan licence 241KEN stolen from the 1000the block of 109th Street.

9:20 p.m. – 20-year-old man arrested for failing to comply with his probation order after a report of a loud party on the 1000 block of 108th Street in North Battleford.

Friday, Oct. 14

1:14 a.m. - Report of a break and enter to a garage on Cardinal Crescent. 

1:44 a.m. – 45-year-old man arrested and facing charges of impaired driving and driving while over .08 after a report of an erratic driver on Railway Avenue East in North Battleford. Accused remains in custody and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Friday.

2:59 a.m. - Complainant reporting she was assaulted with bear mace while walking in the area of Pioneer Avenue in North Battleford. Suspects reported to have fled in a vehicle that was later located by police. One 17-year-old suspect was located and arrested with the assistance of the Police Dog Services and remains in custody with numerous charges pending including assault with a weapon. Two other suspects were identified who remain at large. 

3:43 a.m. – 27-year-old man arrested and charged for failing to comply with probation after a reported disturbance at a residence on the Mosquito First Nation. 

Police arrested five individuals for alcohol related offences, and also responded to two alarms, four minor disturbances, five traffic matters, one minor collision, one Mental Health Act complaint and three reported missing persons who were all found in short order.
