Big River RCMP investigate break and enter with shots fired in Debden

On Friday, Sept. 18, at approximately 6 a.m., Big River RCMP responded to the report of a break and enter into a local pawn shop in Debden.

On Friday, Sept. 18, at approximately 6 a.m., Big River RCMP responded to the report of a break and enter into a local pawn shop in Debden.

An employee of the shop reported seeing three males, all dressed in black and wearing masks, exit through the back door of the shop carrying stolen merchandise shortly after 6 a.m. One of the males pointed a sawed-off firearm at the employee’s vehicle and shot at the vehicle. The employee fled the scene and his vehicle was shot a second time.

The employee did not sustain any injuries from this incident.

Officers are working to identify and locate the suspect vehicle and the three unknown males involved in the incident. The scene is currently being examined by the Saskatchewan RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
