On Sept. 14 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Blaine Lake RCMP received the report of an adult male victim who was lying on the ground in front of a building in Blaine Lake.

Officers arrived immediately and located the 79-year-old victim who appeared to have sustained injuries from a physical assault. The victim was treated and cleared on scene by EMS.

Initial police investigation revealed the victim was assaulted by two unknown males after refusing their request to drive them to Prince Albert. The males stole the victim’s cellphone, keys and his grey 2007 Ford F150 truck with Saskatchewan license plate 167 IUM. The two males fled in the truck and were believed to have travelled north on Highway 40.

The first male was described as having a heavy build with long hair. The second male was described as having a slim build and appeared to be younger than the first male.

Blaine Lake RCMP along with other nearby RCMP detachments and municipal police agencies assisted in the search for the suspects and the stolen truck, but efforts have been unsuccessful so far.

Anyone who may have seen the grey 2007 Ford F150 truck with Saskatchewan license plate 167 IUM or has information about this incident is asked to contact the Blaine Lake RCMP at 306-497-3604, or your local police service.
