Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 3 p.m., members from the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team (HEART) recovered the body of the six-year-old boy who disappeared in Makwa Lake on June 23. The body was located over a kilometre away from where he was last seen.
On behalf of the Saskatchewan RCMP, the Loon Lake Detachment thanks all local residents, family members, friends and organizations on the ground, air and on the lake for their dedication in the search.
“Our thoughts continue to be with the family during this tragic time,” said RCMP.
