Charges laid in murder investigation in La Ronge

RCMP have announced four people have been charged in connection to the death of 28-year-old Sheena Marie Billette of La Ronge. Sheena was found on Highway 102, seven kilometers north of La Ronge, on Dec. 23.

RCMP have announced four people have been charged in connection to the death of 28-year-old Sheena Marie Billette of La Ronge.

Sheena was found on Highway 102, seven kilometers north of La Ronge, on Dec. 23.

Charged are: Charlie Napthalie Charles (DOB: 1995-01-06); Deborah Maggie Mckenzie (DOB: 1989-12-11); Telsa Jane Mckenzie (DOB: 1995-06-07); and Sharise Justice Sutherland-Kayseas (DOB: 1995-01-31).

The four face charges of first degree murder, kidnapping and forcible confinement. Charles is still at large and police consider him dangerous; the other three were arrested Jan. 13 in La Ronge.

Also facing charges of accessory after the fact to murder is Kandi Rose Ratt (DOB: 1992-06-16). Ratt is also still at large and considered dangerous. If seen, do not approach and call police immediately.

The investigation has involved Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit South; La Ronge and Prince Albert General Investigation Sections; Prince Albert and Tisdale Forensic Identification Sections; Prince Albert Police; and Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
