The case against an Onion Lake man facing child porn charges was adjourned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
James Gabriel Buffalo, 33, was charged with possession of, and accessing child pornography in January 2020 after an investigation by the Saskatchewan Child Exploitation Unit that began in June 2019.
After obtaining a search warrant on Onion Lake Cree Nation, police found child pornography in a residence. They seized a computer, smart phones and digital storage devices for forensic analysis.
Buffalo was arrested Jan. 15, 2020, and released from custody Jan. 16.
The charges against Buffalo haven’t been proven in court.
He is scheduled to reappear in Onion Lake Circuit Court on June 8 to elect how he wants to be tried.
