Crime Reduction Team charge four in organized crime investigation

The RCMP Crime Reduction Team have arrested and charged three males and one female following a lengthy organized crime investigation.

The investigation targeted individuals believed to be involved in organized crime activity in various communities around the Prince Albert area. The RCMP Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team were assisted throughout this investigation by officers from the Prince Albert RCMP Detachment, Prince Albert Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service.

Part of this investigation includes a search warrant executed on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation by officers of the Prince Albert RCMP Crime Reduction Team, Prince Albert RCMP Detachment and Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team.on Feb. 12, which resulted in the seizure of a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, a replica handgun, a spear-gun, and a quantity of suspected hydromorphone.

As a result of the overall investigation, which began in October, 2019, Saskatchewan RCMP have charged and arrested the following individuals:

Jesse Dillon, 28 years old from Onion Lake, was arrested at the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre on April 10. Dillon is scheduled to appear in court on June 16. He is charged with: traffic a controlled substance in association with, for the benefit of or at the direction of a criminal organization; utter threats in association with, for the benefit of or at the direction of a criminal organization; conspiracy to commit assault in association with, for the benefit of or at the direction of a criminal organization; recruit for a criminal organization; unauthorized possession of a firearm (X2); trafficking methamphetamine; obstruction of justice; fabricating evidence; unsafe storage of a firearm; possess weapon for a dangerous purpose; unlawful possession of a restricted firearm; possess firearm/tampered serial number; possess weapon obtained by crime.

24-year-old Shania Yooya from the Prince Albert district was arrested in Prince Albert on April 18. Yooya is scheduled to appear in court on June 20. She is charged with: traffic a controlled substance in association with, for the benefit of or at the direction of a criminal organization; utter threats in association with, for the benefit of or at the direction of a criminal organization; conspiracy to commit assault in association with, for the benefit of or at the direction of a criminal organization; unsafe storage of a firearm; possess weapon for a dangerous purpose; unauthorized possession of a firearm; possess restricted firearm with ammo without license; possess firearm/tampered serial number; possess weapon obtained by crime; trafficking methamphetamine; obstruction of justice; fabricating evidence.

30-year-old Raini Henderson, from the Nipawin district was arrested at the Prince Albert Provincial Correctional Centre on May 6. Henderson is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 14. He is charged with: facilitate the activities of a criminal organization.

28-year-old Brennen Sanderson, from the Prince Albert District was arrested in Sturgeon Lake on May 16. Sanderson is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 24. He is charged with: facilitate the activities of a criminal organization; unsafe storage of a firearm; possess weapon for a dangerous purpose; unauthorized possession of a firearm; possess restricted firearm with ammo without license; possess firearm/tampered serial number; possess weapon obtained by crime; fail to appear.
