Wednesday members of the Battlefords RCMP detachment dealt with more than 30 new calls for service and incidents in the community.


8:47 a.m. - 48-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public after complaint subject was causing a disturbance on Railway Avenue South. Held in custody until sober.


11:38 a.m - 41-year-old man arrested from public intoxication found sleeping in parking lot on 1000 block of 100th Street.


12:15 a.m. - 64-year-old man arrested and taken to hospital after report on intoxicated man on 11th Avenue. Upon arrival by members, subject had fallen and had a suspected non-serious injury.


2:40 p.m. - 21-year-old man arrested and charged with failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking after being found very intoxicated by patrolling member on 1700 block of Thompson Crescent. Later released from custody for court Dec. 9 at 2 p.m .in North Battleford.


3:52 p.m. - 31-year-old male arrested from public intoxication 101st Street and 11th Avenue.


3:53 p.m. - Report of a theft of a wheelchair from a residence on the 1100 block of 104th Street. One witness reported seeing three suspects with the stolen property. Suspect described as being aboriginal, male, all in their teens. 


4:14 p.m. - 77-year-old male arrested for being drunk in public after complaint of male causing issues on the 900 block of 103rd.


4:25 p.m. - Hit and run reported from parking lot at Frontier Mall. One witness identified possible suspect vehicle and investigation is on going. 


5:45 p.m. - Report of threats to cause damage to a building on the 1300 block of 104th Street. Suspect identified and remains under investigation. At 8:09 p.m. the same suspect was arrested at this location for causing a disturbance after threatening to throw rocks through windows. A 14-year-old youth was turned over to a parent pending additional investigation.


7:30 p.m. - 48-year-old male arrested from public intoxication after found sleeping on 600 block of 99th Street.


8:39 p.m. - Break and enter to a residence reported on Ross Crescent. Suspect known to complainants. Property was recovered and no charges pursued as per wishes of the complainant.


9:03 p.m. - Assault reported at residence on 1400 block of 104th Street. Suspect and complainant are known to each other. Minor injuries reported. Matter still under investigation, no arrests made at this point.


Overnight Thursday, RCMP attended to these calls:


12:36 a.m. - Report of two female teens laying on the street on 113th Street, almost run over by a passing vehicle. Patrols for subjects negative.


1:17 a.m. - Report of residential break and enter on 1000 block of 104th Street. Damage to property reported. Investigation is ongoing.


1:50 a.m. - 37-year-old male arrested for public intoxication by patrolling members near 11th Avenue and 103rd Street. Lodged until sober.


Several driving complaints were responded to over course of day. Four alarm calls were responded to, all false.
