An Onion Lake man is facing firearms and marijuana trafficking charges after an incident at a residence on Onion Lake First Nation Sunday that police say included the discharge of a firearm.
Onion Lake RCMP say that during the investigation, one ounce of marijuana, scales, $200 cash and small baggies consistent with the packaging and distribution of marijuana were found.
A loaded firearm was also located and seized at the residence as part of the investigation, police report.
Mervin Curtis Harper, 42, is charged with seven criminal code firearms violations including possession of a stolen firearm and one trafficking charge.
He will answer the charges in Onion Lake Provincial Court.
