Fort Saskatchewan RCMP believe man may have lured victims in other provinces

Fort Saskatchewan, Alta – The General Investigation Section of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP have arrested and charged a 27-year-old male in connection with an alleged sexual assault.

Fort Saskatchewan, Alta – The General Investigation Section of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP have arrested and charged a 27-year-old male in connection with an alleged sexual assault. It is believed that the accused used accounts bearing the names: “Shakenbake_2, Shakenbake_3” or any derivative in order to facilitate contact with underage females.

The investigation revealed that, the accused began communicating with the 14-year-old victim in January, 2020 via the social media “Snapchat” and “Instagram” Applications. The accused asked the victim for nude photographs and then sent nude photographs and videos of himself.

The accused’s behaviour escalated and using these social media platforms, the accused made arrangements to meet the victim. The accused took the victim to a secluded area where she was sexually assaulted.

As a result of the investigation 27-year old Kenneth Bardilas of Whitecourt, is charged with the following offences: sexual assault; sexual interference; invitation to sexual touching; child luring x3; accessing child pornography; possession of child pornography; possession of child pornography for the purpose of publication.

Additional charges may be pending.

Bardilas next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 29.
