Hafford man charged with child porn offences

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a man from Hafford with child pornography offences in relation to an investigation that began in February 2020 of many complaints about a person accessing child pornography through a popular internet browser.

On June 2, members of the Saskatchewan ICE Unit with the assistance of Blaine Lake RCMP, executed a search warrant at a residence in Hafford that was identified as the location where the offences were occurring. Child pornography was located at the residence and a laptop and USB storage devices were seized for further forensic analysis.

Kelly Beleznay, age 55, of Hafford, was arrested at the location and has been charged with possession of child pornography and with accessing child pornography.

He was held in custody overnight and appeared in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Saskatoon where he was remanded for a show cause hearing on June 5.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
