On July 24, Biggar RCMP received reports of possible human remains found in a rural area outside of Biggar.
With assistance and equipment from the local fire department, the remains were recovered. Biggar RCMP say, a forensic anthropologist examined them and confirmed that the partial remains located are human.
Investigators are working to determine the identity of the remains. Biggar RCMP continue to investigate with assistance from RCMP Historical Crimes Unit North and the coroner’s office.
