On Friday April 16 around 3:30 a.m. Turtleford RCMP received a complaint of a serious assault that occurred at a residence on the 200 block of 1st Avenue in Glaslyn. RCMP officers and EMS responded to the scene and located a victim at a nearby residence with serious injuries. He was transported to local hospital and then on to Saskatoon for treatment. RCMP do not have an update on his condition.
An adult male suspect was arrested by police officers from the Saskatchewan RCMP Emergency Response Team without incident on Railway Avenue in Glaslyn. The officers were in the area on an unrelated matter and were able to assist once they became aware of the incident.
No charges have been laid at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
