A 28-year-old man has died from stab wounds after an incident on Onion Lake Cree Nation at about 7 a.m. Saturday.
Onion Lake RCMP say they responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence there and on arrival found Tyson Blair Crosschild outside the residence in obvious medical distress. According to a press release, life-saving efforts were attempted by the responding members and emergency medical personnel, but Crosschild was later pronounced dead at hospital.
Dakota Dean Whitstone, 20, of the Onion Lake Cree Nation has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is in custody and was scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court Monday.
