A Meadow Lake man was denied bail on weapons and robbery charges.
A judge gave her decision Aug. 7 on whether Cory Bouvier, 30, would be released. He has been in custody since his arrest in April when he was charged with weapons and robbery offences.
The Emergency Response Team arrested Bouvier after Meadow Lake RCMP received calls about threats with the use of firearms.
Bouvier pleaded not guilty and his trial that was scheduled on July 16 in Meadow Lake Provincial Court didn’t proceed after witnesses – including a key witness – didn’t show up in court to testify. Thejudge granted the crown’s request for time to get the witnesses to appear in court.
Bouvier’s co-accused, Monica Bouvier, 24, was released on bail in April. She appears next in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Sept. 6.
Cory Bouvier is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court Aug. 17.
