Sunday morning, Jan. 5 at approximately 6 a.m., Weyburn RCMP responded to reports of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 39 approximately two kilometres southeast of Weyburn.
A semi-truck and a pick-up truck collided head-on in the southbound lane.
The driver and sole occupant of the pick-up truck, a 19-year-old male, was declared deceased at the scene. The driver and sole occupant of the semi, a 34-year-old male, was taken to hospital in Regina with undetermined injuries.
Weyburn RCMP and an RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision.
Highway 39 has reopened to traffic.
