A Prince Albert area man charged with a 2011 sexual assault had another appearance in court.

Jason Glen Dreaver, 39, from Muskoday First Nation appeared in person in Prince Albert Provincial Court Sept. 2.

The matter was adjourned and a Muirhead Order for Disclosure is in the works that will see the Crown’s case sent to the defendant. This happens when an accused indicates he/she wants to represent him/herself in court. Disclosure contains the Crown’s case against a person including search warrants, the charging document, details of the offence, audio/video and transcribed witness statements, statements from the accused, expert reports, exhibits, private communication intercept authorizations, evidence, and criminal records of witnesses and the accused.

Dreaver has pleaded not guilty to the decades-old charges.

He was arrested by police in March after he failed to appear in court in February and charged with failing to appear in court and failing to attend court.

The charges against Dreaver haven’t been proven in court.

Dreaver is expected to appear Sept. 22 in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
