Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in Debden

On July 7 at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers from the Big River RCMP responded to the report of a 15-year-old female pedestrian struck by a car on 2nd avenue in the Village of Debden.

On July 7 at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers from the Big River RCMP responded to the report of a 15-year-old female pedestrian struck by a car on 2nd avenue in the Village of Debden. An RCMP Forensic Reconstructionist, STARS air ambulance, Big River EMS, and the Big River Fire Department also attended the scene.

The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries. Tragically, she later succumbed to her injuries and passed away. 

A 17-year-old male has been identified as the driver of the car.

The investigation is ongoing by the Big River RCMP with the assistance of an RCMP Forensic Reconstructionist.
