Pedestrian killed on Hwy 4

RCMP are reporting that on April 13 at approximately 3:30 a.m., members were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a semi and a pedestrian. A 34-year-old male from the Saulteaux First Nation was pronounced deceased at the scene.

RCMP are reporting that on April 13 at approximately 3:30 a.m., members were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a semi and a pedestrian.

A 34-year-old male from the Saulteaux First Nation was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name of the deceased will not be released, says RCMP.

The collision took place on Highway 4 North near the Saulteaux First Nation.

The highway was closed to traffic for approximately six hours while police conducted their investigation.

RCMP traffic reconstruction as well as the forensic investigation section were involved.

No charges have been laid in this matter and the investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the coroner’s office.
