Battlefords RCMP report they responded to a complaint of an injured male laying on 29th Street in the Town of Battleford on July 4, at 11 p.m.

EMS attended to the location and took the injured male to Battlefords Union Hospital for medical treatment, say RCMP.

Investigation has revealed that there was a collision between the male and a vehicle travelling on 29th Street. RCMP said the location on 29th Street would remain secure until RCMP had completed that portion of the investigation.

The driver of the involved vehicle has been identified, located and dealt with by RCMP. 

There are no security concerns for residents of the area as the location continues to be managed with a police presence. 

The victim of the collision remains in hospital for treatment of his injuries, said Thursday morning. 

This matter remains under investigation and further reports will be forthcoming.
