A portion of 99th Street between 14th and 15th Ave. has been cordoned off this afternoon, as emergency personnel responded to what appeared to be a structure fire in the area.
Fire, EMS and police were all on the scene. Several RCMP vehicles were situated on 14th and 15th Avenues blocking access to that portion of 99th Street during the afternoon.
Later in the afternoon the RCMP sent out a news release in which they reported there were two separate investigations on both 99th Street and also 101st Street. One involved a fire, while the other was a sudden death investigation. A police presence was noticed on the 1400 block of 101st this afternoon.
More information is expected to be released later about this emerging story.
